My Freelancing Journey
The time of Covid Pandemic where everything was locked down and risky was when I really took action on my aspiration to be a Virtual Assistant. I worked as a Safety Officer then and even with all the personal protective equipments and measures, health concern and being able to continue earning are things that weigh on me.
Indeed, it was not easy to transition as there were adjustments that have to be made and complied to. I had to learn things on my own and adapt to a new work lifestyle. It also took me months to finish my Amazon Virtual Assistant course that I invested in. I studied while I was still working and from there I found my niche.
I started as an Amazon Researcher Specialist to Simply Wholesale and LunarEcom LLC, which are sister companies just operating on different target fulfillment methods.
I have been evaluating product lists based on their criteria on grocery products using tools such as Keepa, Revseller and Scan Unlimited. From originally operating FBA store of Simply Wholesale LLC, I coped up with the required criteria of an FBM business model of Lunar Ecom. This was the first time I was able to gained access to a seller central account focusing on seeing through products hazmat and gated probability which require invoice or other documents, upc information and evaluating a product if it is a good buy.
The position lasted for about three months as we were laid off from our positions when our supervisor quit on the company. The VA's under his supervision was let go even though there was a contract that states the position for a year. Looking back, it was a redirection.
~2022~
I took a rest for a week and within a few days of applying I was hired. My position now was a Sourcing Specialist to a private label store.
I would not forget the day that I started working as it was the day that my grandmother died. She was a great part of my life.
As a Sourcing Specialist I mostly handled negotiating with suppliers and retaining a good communication with them. I also do Product Research, Supplier Evaluation and handling the development phase of a product.
I resigned within two months even knowing that I will be left with one month before year 2022 will end. To simply put it, it was not a good match for me even though I did enjoy learning a lot from this client.
A lot of positive things also came out from this experience. I learned a lot especially with negotiating suppliers. I surprisingly enjoyed the niche even it is on the firearm accessories and also garnered knowledge of shipment options. I was also appreciated for my design skills that I got the opportunity to contribute to designing their magazine marking bands. I also practiced using keyboard shortcuts as to speed up my work, use google calendar, grouped my inbox, transfer ownership files and navigate platforms such as Trello, Airtable, Flowster, Alibaba, Mufasa Titan Tool and Amazon Seller Central.

After two months of rest and sending applications, I finally took the opportunity offered in this company.
I have been with this company for about a year and I was employed full-time. This client treated me so well that I am so grateful for him. He opened doors for me and recommended me to his friends.
The Amazon business of this client was operating in an Online Arbitrage and a bit of Wholesale. The items on our catalog was in diverse categories from grocery, beauty, toys, home and kitchen leaning more on FBM though there were a few items that we have shipped on Amazon.
I started as a Sourcing Specialist and down the line helped took care of Inventory Management where I was also given the opportunity to replenish inventories by purchasing. Here I was also given the role to purchase shipping labels and confirm shipments. I enjoyed variety of tasks while working here that at some point I also took care of bookeeping.
It is my wishful thinking to have things stay the same as they are but I am happy for this client and I will always salute his leadership. He decided to stop selling on Amazon and focused more on another lucrative opportunity.
Because of this client, I got acquianted to my next client and his other friend that needed help with bookeeping.
~2023-2024~
FrontDown Distro is the friend of my previous client that was also selling on Amazon. What I mainly did was to make his books so he can have a proper P&L before he shows it to his accountant for the filling of taxes.

Opus Labs is the shipping service provider that my previous client bought shipping labels from. I was given the task to process or buy shipping labels from their discord server and becuase of that I gained knowledge how their discord server worked. When my previous client gained knowledge that this server is looking for customer support, he then recommended the opportunity to me and influenced me to take my chance on it.
I was hired and this opportunity became one of my part time. I answered customer enquiries, helped clients with their orders, created tutorials and some graphic banners for the server. The banners below are examples of graphics I made for this client.
Opus Labs also recommended me to one of his clients and that is Conn Soles LLC.
~2024~
Conn Soles LLC is a Walmart business where I freelance confirm tracking shipment numbers on this client's Orders dashboard.

At LotsofDeals, I was a part-time Inventory Manager for six months to an Amazon Private Label business. My role focuses in inventory management where listing creation, listing monitoring, running promotions, forecasting, filing cases, creating bundles and coordinating with company suppliers are few of the wide range tasks I did.
It was a good run especially I was able to work alongside of team of awesome Filipino VA's once again.
